What You Will Find in the E-books

E-BOOK

Blues Rock Shred

It is an in-depth study, which explores and presents several of my favorite melodic pat- terns and licks as you can check out in my songs and solos.

The first chapter, “Pentatonic Scale”, is dedi- cated to this scale, which is the most used one to play Blues/Rock styles, exploring a more “shred” way of playing.

For this, examples with typical techniques of the style will be used, such as Alternate and Sweep Picking, Tap- pings, Legatos and Hybrid Picking. The “3 notes per string” shape will also be addressed in this chapter, in the part dedicated to the Pentatonic and Pentatonic Blues scales.

The next chapter is entitled “Bluesy”, a term used to describe a way of playing that provides the blues sound, a “Bluesy” feel regardless of style. For example, you can play a Heavy Metal solo and still sound “bluesy”.
In the “Arpeggios” chapter are shown shapes and melodic patterns played diagonally on the neck of the guitar.

Finally, licks that exemplify all the content cov- ered in this course are available, besides the solo of my song T.A.G. in which I use all the techniques shown previously.

Guitar Shred

This eBook is the result of extensive research I have been conducting over many years, where I share my experiences and insights into key guitar techniques. Within these pages, you will find a detailed and personal approach to the techniques I use in my solos, improvisations, and compositions.

Throughout the eBook, I will explore several fundamental techniques essential for guitarists interested in developing their skills in the shred style. These include alternate picking, a crucial technique for achieving speed and precision in picking movements; sweep picking, which allows for smooth and efficient arpeggio execution through a sweeping motion of the pick; tapping, an innovative technique using the right-hand fingers to create fast and intricate notes; and hybrid picking, combining the use of pick and fingers to enhance versatility and expressiveness in playing.

In addition to demonstrating how each technique can be applied, I also share practical examples taken from solos in the songs of my band, Enemies Of Reality, available on major streaming platforms. These licks not only illustrate the techniques in real-world contexts but also provide ideas on how to integrate them into your own compositions and improvisations.

Beyond merely teaching techniques, my aim with this eBook is to provide you with a deep and practical understanding of how these techniques can be creatively and expressively used. I hope this material significantly contributes to your musical development and inspires new possibilities in your journey as a guitarist.
