Rod Rodrigues is a Brazilian/Canadian guitarist, music teacher, and songwriter with a strong and well-established career in the music industry. He has played in several bands, including Enemies of Reality and Falling Into a Dream (a Dream Theater tribute band).
Rod studied with world-renowned guitarists Kiko Loureiro (Megadeth) and Greg Howe (Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson), and holds music degrees from IG&T and Claretiano University. Since 1997, he has been teaching music in Brazil, Canada, and Europe.
As a solo artist, Rod released his debut EP, The First Step: Introduction, in 2010, which was featured in magazines like Guitar Player, Cover Guitarra, and Guitarload. In 2019, he released the single T.A.G., followed by the concept album Tales of a Changing Life Part 1 in 2022, featuring Marco Sfogli (James LaBrie, PFM) on the track Woodbine Sunset.
In 2024, he released Tales of a Changing Life Part 2, with guest appearances by Angel Vivaldi, Roy Ziv, and John Macaluso (Yngwie Malmsteen, Symphony X, TNT, among others).
Thanks to the success of both albums, Rod was featured in Prog Magazine and Rock Hard Italy, and was voted one of the Top 20 Guitarists of 2022 and 2024 by readers of Roadie Crew magazine.
